There is a lot to do in Panama. Since we moved here in January we love exploring. One of our favorite places to go is El Valle. It is a resort town about an hour and 45 minutes from Panama City. First you drive about an hour and 15 down the PanAmerican Highway towards the interior and up a mountain for about 25-30 minutes. El Valle sits inside a crater of an extinct volcano! It’s breezy and has spring like weather all year round.
When you get to El Valle, not only is there a lot to do, it’s all cheap! We went horseback riding and it was $8/hour! I don’t remember the prices for everything but only the hiking/zip line place was dog friendly!
The other places to explore on a poochless trip: the orchid farm, hot springs, snake farm, the sleeping indian woman mountain (pretty cool), the farmer’s market on Sunday, and many others I can’t think of right now! Actually, you can take your pooch to the farmer’s market! We did!
I took some pictures of our last trip. There are a few species of animals the only exist in El Valle, like the golden frog! I don’t have any pictures of those yet, but my camera is ready the second I do!
