5 x 7 hand painted postcard sized canvas painted by Alfonso Guardia Chavarría with wooden pedestal of the Ruins of old Panama City, an area spread throughout the capital dating back to the 1500s that were destroyed by fire in the late 1600s.
Alfonso is a professionally trained Panamanian artist who studied at the Institute of Fine Arts in Panama City. Throughout his career, he has won contests and has been featured in several prestigious exhibits and galleries. An extremely talented artist and wonderful friend, he has graciously allowed me to show off his works on my blog and now teaches art to children at our restaurant on Saturdays and adults on Sundays.
